An essay which i think is perfectly biased, and marvellously well-written in a very journalistic, facts-and-figures (and a healthy serving of wit and sacarsm) style. "The Greater Common Good" deals with the horrors of the Narmada Valley Project along the Narmada River basin, spanning the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. Particularly relevant for the geoggers - I wanted to photocopy this and pass it around but it's hopelessly long, some 90 pages in paperback. Tightly woven, brilliantly written.
